Product Overview
Kitchen fire suppression systems have been specifically designed to protect home and commercial kitchens, effectively extinguishing cooking fires caused by grease or grease-laden vapors (Class F or Class K fires) quickly and efficiently.
These self-contained pneumatic systems require no external energy or power supply. Upon flame impingement or extreme heat, the pressurized detection tubing will burst, activating the cylinder valve to release the extinguishing agent immediately.
Specifically designed for kitchen environments, these systems utilize wet chemicals in a fine mist to suppress fires rapidly and offer much faster cleanup compared to dry chemical alternatives.
Key Advantages
- Simple Installation: Well-engineered system that is easy to integrate into existing hoods.
- Automatic Actuation: Fast response to heat without manual intervention.
- Durable Materials: Stainless steel pipework, fittings, and nozzles specifically for kitchen environments.
- Flexible Detection: Linear heat and flame detection allowing for multiple detection points.
- Non-Electric: Remains fully operational during power interruptions.
- Easy Cleanup: Once appliances cool down, the wet agent is easily wiped away.
How the System Works
The system utilizes a specialized pressurized detection tube installed across the hazard area. When a fire starts, the heat causes the tube to rupture at the hottest point. This drop in pressure triggers the valve on the wet chemical cylinder, discharging the extinguishing agent through the stainless steel nozzles to smother the fire.
